Sometimes life's gifts initially appear as quite the opposite.
That's certainly been the case for me over the past four years, but I'm determined to turn these situations into seeds of great new adventure, and fertilizer to make a bigger impact in the world.
Through this time of struggle, my life mission has become clear:
(1) Reduce suffering for those with injuries like mine & wounded warriors
(2) Spread joy
(3) Build community
Beginning September 2025, I am spending one year “In Walden Van”, my version of stepping away, deeply resetting, and focusing on what matters.
Trusting in the wisdom of the Stoics, I am learning to let go of things I cannot control, find joy in the little things everyday and cherish the amazing relationships in my life.
Two roads diverged in a Silicon Valley; I am choosing the one focused on improving the lives of others; and that will make all the difference.
